Key Features & Benefits
-
Customer Input Terminals: Two 24-point pluggable barrier terminal blocks (H1A, H2A) or 48 pluggable Euro-style box terminals (H3A, H4A) for flexible wiring.
-
Passive Pulse Rate Devices: Nine devices (three per X/Y/Z section) sense a toothed wheel to measure turbine speed accurately.
-
Jumper Blocks: Fan one set of three speed inputs to all three PPRO I/O packs for synchronization and redundancy.
-
Output Contacts: Two sets: one at 24 V dc (H1A, H3A) and one at 125 V dc (H2A, H4A), providing TMR voted output contacts for emergency trips.
-
Voltage Detection Circuits: Four circuits for 24-125 V dc detection monitor the trip string, ensuring system integrity.
-
Daughterboard Connectors: Allow optional feature expansion.
Voltage Monitoring & Trip Relays
The IS200TREAH2A includes three general-purpose isolated voltage sensor inputs to monitor trip string voltages. Typical uses include power supply voltage monitoring (PWR) and solenoid voltage monitoring (SOL1, SOL2). The trip relays use a 2-out-of-3 voting pattern: any two controllers voting to close will activate the relay. A sensing circuit detects relay shorting and sends an alarm to the PPRO I/O pack, preventing false indications.
Industry Applications
The GE IS200TREAH2A is used in gas and steam turbine control systems, emergency shutdown systems, and power generation plants. It provides reliable trip protection and integrates seamlessly with Mark VIe systems.
Installation & Setup
Mount the board securely in the Mark VIe cabinet. Connect customer inputs via the terminal blocks. Ensure proper grounding and follow GE guidelines for wiring and configuration.
Maintenance & Reliability
Regularly inspect terminal connections and voltage sensors. Operate within -30 to 65°C. The surface-mount technology enhances reliability in harsh environments.
Compatibility & Integration
Designed for the Mark VIe control system, the IS200TREAH2A integrates with PPRO turbine I/O packs. It supports TMR voting and works with 24 V dc and 125 V dc circuits.
