Field wiring should use a three-conductor shielded triad cable, with conductor sizes between 0.2 and 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG). The maximum distance between the Proximitor Sensor and monitor is 305 meters (1000 feet).
Maintenance & Reliability
Routine inspection of the probe tip and cable is recommended to detect any physical damage or contamination. The PPS tip resists chemical attack, extending service life in harsh environments. The stainless steel case withstands corrosion. The probe is designed to seal differential pressure between tip and case using a Viton O-ring; however, it is not pressure tested before shipment.
