Installation & Setup Guidance
Mount the probe with the M8X1 thread into a suitable mounting hole, applying only finger-tight torque initially. Use a torque wrench to achieve the maximum recommended torque of 0.56 N•m (5 in•lb) – do not overtighten. Ensure the probe cable maintains a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 in) to avoid damage. For field wiring, use a three-conductor shielded triad cable from 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG). The maximum distance between the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor and the monitor is 305 meters (1,000 feet). After mounting, set the recommended gap to 1.0 mm (40 mils).
