Installation & Mounting
The 1794-TB2 supports both panel and DIN rail mounting. For panel mounting, use the provided holes and secure with appropriate hardware. For DIN rail, snap the unit onto a standard 35mm rail. Ensure the terminal screw torque is within 0.56–0.79 Nm to avoid over-tightening. Use 24 to 16 AWG stranded copper wire with 3/64-inch insulation for connections.
Applications
This terminal base unit is ideal for discrete and analog I/O applications in manufacturing, process control, and material handling. It provides a robust wiring interface for sensors, actuators, and control signals. Its compact design fits easily into existing panels, making it a practical choice for system upgrades.
Maintenance & Reliability
With no moving parts, the 1794-TB2 requires minimal maintenance. Periodically inspect terminal connections for tightness and cleanliness. The unit operates reliably in temperatures from 0 to 55°C and withstands vibration up to 5g at 10–500Hz. Its open-type enclosure allows heat dissipation, but ensure adequate airflow in the panel.
Compatibility & Integration
The 1794-TB2 is designed for use with Allen-Bradley Flex I/O modules. It provides the physical interface for modules to connect to the Flexbus backplane. Verify module compatibility before ordering.
